Buntingford Summer Activity Programme 2018

This summer we wanted to ensure there is plenty going on for children of all ages over the school holidays. So Mummy SOS, in association with Buntingford Town Council, have put together a full schedule to keep children and young people entertained over the 6 week summer holidays. The programme includes a wide range of activities for all interests, with a variety of sessions aimed at children aged 0 -15, as well as offering work experience opportunities for Sixth Formers.

A Guide to the Programme

Yellow - Mummy SOS Summer Activity Sessions

  • Varying locations – check for each session
  • Most for ages 0 – 15 (except Football and Gaming)
  • Under 8 yr olds MUST be accompanied by an adult
  • Childcare option available for 8 – 15 yr olds (only if pre-booked) or parents may allow children of this age group to attend sessions unaccompanied at their own discretion
  • A member of Mummy SOS staff and some helpers should be present to supervise* each activity
  • Children should bring their own water bottle, food, waterproofs, suncream, hats etc
  • Advanced booking is recommended but not required
  • £2 per child per hour

Green - Diversionary Activities, organised through the East Herts Community Safety Partnership

  • For ages 11 – 19 years
  • FREE
  • No booking required, just turn up, first come, first serve
  • Slackline – a balancing challenge!
  • Lark in the Park - arts, sports, crafts, food and lots more fun!
  • Climbing wall – can you go all the way?
  • Trampolining – reach new heights!

Orange - Trips (only the coach transport has been organised this year, you will need to arrange your own entry into attractions)

  • Under 8 yr olds MUST be accompanied by an adult
  • Childcare option available for 8 – 15 yr olds (only if pre-booked)
  • Children aged 8 – 11 must be accompanied by an adult OR be booked into our childcare option
  • Parents may allow children aged 12 and over to attend trips unaccompanied at their own discretion
  • A member of Mummy SOS staff will chaperone* each trip
  • Children should bring their own water bottle, food, waterproofs, suncream, hats etc
  • Advanced booking is required

Events on all Summer

Buntings Holiday Club

At Layston School, for ages 3yrs-middle school, parents drop off, advanced booking required, £20 from 9-4, some activities are charged as extra. Wrap around care also available. Contact Emma Haynes 01763272868 info@buntingsnursery.co.uk

A range of activities each day, programme can be downloaded from website. Labtots, painting, picnics, crafts, baking, treasure hunts, park trips and much more.

Summer Reading Challenge

At Buntingford Library, read 6 books and you could win a prize, ask in the library for further details.
