Chatter Table Lunch

Despite having to make a number of changes to original dates as our chosen venue underwent complete refurbishment, and transport became even more difficult to arrange, the ladies of the Chatter Table finally enjoyed their group lunch outing on Tuesday 21st October.

The Toby Inn in Stevenage lies just beyond the normal Lynx bus route, which stops at Roaring Meg. Our grateful thanks to Herts Lynx for agreeing to extend the route and taking a full bus to the restaurant door. For those with limited mobility this was much appreciated. Others drove independently, enabling over 24 to enjoy the meal.

We had a bit of a scramble to get everyone through the carvery queue and then have enough time to eat the enormous meals which were served. We made it!

Many thanks to everyone who facilitated this lovely lunchtime treat. Well done Toby staff. Thank you to the two Lynx drivers and Kelly who booked it all in for us.

The next trip will be the annual Christmas lunch organised through the Council office and separate from Chatter Table arrangements.
