Cllr Brian Lemay

Brian moved to Buntingford with his family in 1981. His three children were educated through Milfield, Edwinstree and Freeman, as is one of his grandsons.

Brian has been very active in the town over the last 30 years. He is a driver for BASH and was chairman for nearly six years. He has been on the Civic Society executive committee in the 80's and 90's and rejoined the committee in the early 2010's. He is a trustee of the Almshouse Trust and an active member of the U3A.

In 2014 Brian joined a group producing the Buntingford Community Area Neighbourhood Plan, published in 2017. He was responsible for drafting the Environment and Sustainability and Leisure and Recreation sections.

He was a co-founder of the Community Garden and is keen to see more Amenity Green Space in the town.

Brian was co-opted onto Buntingford Town Council in May 2019 and he hopes to continue contributing to the community.
